Joseph Muscat has Been Requested to Send Keith Schembri to Strasbourg
Upon the tumultuous inevitability of all proceedings regarding Panama data leaks, Minister Konrad Mizzi and Prime Minister Muscat’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri have revealed, on separate occasions, a viable institution of libel proceedings against the controversial journalist and blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia. In recent findings, Schembri’s legal team has found suitable evidence to mount a strong suit against the blogger, who has regularly instigated a chain of false allegations against the Chief of Staff and Konrad Mizzi simultaneously. Since the Panama data scandal surfaced on digital shores of social media servers, there has been a lot to speculate regarding the authenticity of the defaulters’ record. It seems as if the Maltese government is on course to defy the odds and remedy its status as a staunch follower of the book of law.
Muscat urged to use his authority to send Keith Schembri to Strasbourg on 18 May Werner Langer, president of the European Parliament PANA investigating committee, has written to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat urging him to use his authority to send Keith Schembri to Strasbourg on 18 May to be asked questions by the Committee. Following this, Alternative Democratic chairperson, Prof. Arnold Casual, commented: “This is no April Fools’ joke. It is shameful that the parliamentary investigative committee has to appeal to the Prime Minister to get him to force Schembri to go. People who have nothing to hide should not run away, as Keith Schembri has been doing for over a year”.
In order to substantiate any evidence in compliance to any case at hand, one should be able to present the required ammo of information to help the authorities reach the necessary verdict. We are aware of the fact that action speaks louder than words; why apply the philosophical sanctity of linguistic digitization in attempts to out-man oeuvre certain aspects of the integrity of the one being accused? Immoral, illogical and ill-based interpretation of information, for the sake of character-assassination stands for no solid grounds in the court of law. Galizia must realize the insubordinate stupidity of her statements, and henceforth must appear before the Court to speak on behalf of all the allegations that she has so tactfully crafted. Truth speaks volumes; one must know the difference!
